We'll cover the licensure process through the grow: Cannabis Industry Overview Obtaining a hemp cultivation permit from your state. We will use Florida as an example. Regulations and compliance Operational Planning- Working backwards Cultivation: Seed selection, germination, vegetative and flowering stages Harvesting: Drying, curing, and storage Grow Stages: Advanced techniques and details for each stage (irrigation, fertilization, light, progress checks) Starting a Hemp or CBD business: Hemp food establishment permit, planning, partnerships Becoming a hemp nursery (Required to sell whole hemp plants) About the Author Our founder, Joseph K. Remy, retired from the Air Force in 2018 and now owns Happy Pharms CBD shop and a hemp plant nursery in Florida, which he has operated since 2021. He began using medical cannabis for insomnia, chronic pain, and migraines in 2019, and the cannabis products drastically improved his quality of life. Now his passion is growing beautiful hemp plants and educating the public on the many benefits cannabis has to offer.
